Dyslexia Awareness Month, observed every October, is dedicated to raising awareness about Dyslexia, a common learning difference affecting the ability to read, write, and spell. It aims to educate the public, support individuals with dyslexia, and promote understanding of the challenges they face. This month highlights the importance of early diagnosis, appropriate intervention, and fostering inclusive environments in schools and workplaces. By spreading knowledge, Dyslexia Awareness Month seeks to break down misconceptions and empower individuals with Dyslexia to reach their full potential. If you suspect your child may have Dyslexia, please talk to your school team, a divisional psychologist, and your divisional Reading Clinician. If your child has already been diagnosed with Dyslexia or any other Specific Learning Disability involving reading, writing, and spelling – please reach out if you have any questions, need resources, or other support.  Check out Dyslexia Canada’s Mark it READ campaign for local events all month long in your area.  https://dyslexiacanada.org/
